These are great! I think the first one works really well with the reflection being softer and lighter. I love how my mind is confused on what is really happening, and the use of cropping is very well done. It is not obvious that it is a photograph of a photograph, rather it feels more like a different dimension perhaps. I would suggest to possibly take it even further, adding more mirrors and maybe even more photographs to really confuse the viewer. Overall, I think your idea has so much potential and these are a great start!
Hey Serena, I love your images. They create a strong feeling of nostalgia and childhood. Your use of mirrors and reflections makes me think of fading memories, how we can sometimes only remember an old memory when we see a picture. I feel that your first two images are your strongest ones due to the fact that you can not see the corner of the printed photo. This creates very interesting lines and shapes. Im super excited to see where you go with this next. I think using indifferent images to create different feelings would be nice to see.
Wow! These are really cool images! I enjoy how the mirror almost acts as a ‘portal’ that we see into the past. The almost sterile background on the one side of the mirror really puts emphasis on your photo that is being reflected which I enjoy. The almost empty void of the white makes it look futuristic as well as the mirrors being very minimalist. I would maybe try playing with different types of mirrors and play with the different kinds of lines that the borders of them create along with the straight lines of the photograph. Good work!
